Ogden sits on the northeast side of Wilmington, generally bounded by Gordon Road to the west, Porters Neck to the north, and the Intracoastal Waterway to the east, close enough to Wrightsville Beach that plenty of residents bike the Cross City Trail straight there. It's one of the more established, family-oriented pockets of the Wilmington area, and one where our crews end up more often than almost anywhere else in New Hanover County.

About The Area
With roughly 8,300 residents, Ogden blends suburban comfort with easy coastal access — Mayfaire Town Center, with more than 80 shops, restaurants, and a movie theater, sits right at its edge, and Ogden Park's 125 acres of sports fields, walking trails, dog park, and the inclusive Miracle Field turf make it one of the most-used green spaces in the county. Neighborhoods here range from established communities to newer construction, generally offering more yard space than you'll find closer to downtown Wilmington.
schools & family info
Ogden is part of New Hanover County Schools and is often cited by residents as one of the district's most desirable zones, with Ogden Elementary posting strong ratings and feeding into the broader New Hanover County middle and high school system.
Things To do
Ogden Park covers most day-to-day recreation with baseball, soccer, and football fields, a walking trail, and an off-leash dog park, while Mayfaire adds shopping, dining, and a multiplex theater within a few minutes' drive. Wrightsville Beach is close enough, often cited as around 3.5 miles, for a regular after-work trip, and the Wilmington Municipal Golf Course, a Donald Ross design, gives golfers a public option nearby.

Local Moving Tips
Market Street traffic is the main variable for Ogden local moves, especially during commuter hours and near Mayfaire on weekends. Our crews plan around it, and confirm HOA or gate requirements for the neighborhood's more established gated communities during the free walkthrough.
